Obama Reportedly Seeking 28% Corporate Tax Rate

The president is proposing to cut the corporate tax rate from 35 percent to 28 percent and wants an even lower effective rate for manufacturers, according to a senior administration official. In turn, corporations would have to give up dozens of loopholes and subsidies.

Killing Continues In Syria, Two Western Journalists Among Victims

Troops loyal to President Bashar Assad reportedly executed nearly 30 young men in one incident. In the city of Homs, two journalists reportedly died when the building they were in was hit by shells.

Activist: 2 Foreign Journalists Killed In Syria

A Syrian activist said two foreign journalists were killed Wednesday by Syrian government forces shelling the restive central city of Homs. The report could not be immediately confirmed.

Should Valets Be Responsible For Drunk Drivers, Too?

A Boston city councilor wants to enlist the help of valets in keeping drunken drivers off the road. "They are literally our last line of defense," says Rob Consalvo. But critics say that's too much responsibility for valets who, unlike bartenders, are not trained to spot intoxication.
